From the Jens Burg Coffee Museum to the Coffee World Museum

In 1927, Erich Burg, father of Jens Burg, founded the first coffee factory on Eppendorfor Street, Hamburg (Germany) called Burg's Kaffee Rosterei. People did this slowly as if enjoying the fun of the job. And more than half a century later, his son Jens Burg did the same as his father. The coffee roasting speed was not faster, but the coffee flavor was getting better and better. Jens Burg roasted and processed coffee without a flavor meter, he mainly worked with his eyes, nose and a lot of sensitivity from a person who "dedicated" his life to the flavor of coffee beans.

Upward space

The upward space located in the Coffee World Museum has a spiral cone-shaped architecture that represents creativity, eternity, the movement of time, the connection between the universe, humans and nature. In nature, the spiral is also a symbol of the sun, symbolizing energy, development, and life.

Library of Light

The heart of the Coffee World Museum is the Light Library, with the centerpiece being the life-changing Foundation Bookcase, selected from the quintessential treasury of human knowledge. Trung Nguyen Legend's efforts and enthusiasm over the years have been to search, filter... in the treasury of human knowledge to produce a comprehensive, life-changing Foundation Bookcase, covering all basic fields of life: Science, Philosophy, Mysticism, Medicine, Martial Arts, Economics, Politics, Ethics, Sociology, Aesthetics, Acoustics and Linguistics. More than 100 precious books, nearly 100 precious movies of the life-changing foundational bookcase and movie cabinet were carefully and whole-heartedly selected by Founder - Chairman of Trung Nguyen Legend Group DANG LE NGUYEN VU from millions of books, from thousands of examples of humanity's most successful great men and women. Among them, the 5 books of "Think and Grow Rich", "An Encouragement of Learning", "Startup Nation", "How to Win Friends and Influence People", "No Failures – All Trials" are the first foundational books. The opening of the "Life-Changing Foundation Bookcase" was given to tens of millions of Vietnamese youths on the Journey from the Heart - The Journey of Great Will – Nation-building Startup.

Prof. Nguyen Van Huy

Prof. Nguyen Van Huy, former Director of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and one of the leading experts in museums in Southeast Asia, shared: "I am fortunate to have been involved in the idea formation of a world coffee cultural museum from the early days, and I was truly captivated by the uniqueness and distinctiveness of the concept. The most impressive thing is that the museum itself is attractive enough to the world, but it is only a part of the Global Coffee Capital in Vietnam. Both Mr. Ama Galla, Vice Chairman of the World Coffee Museum, and I were fascinated by the idea of a living museum of coffee."

Unique architectural masterpiece

The Coffee World Museum is inspired by the philosophy of healing architecture and the quintessence of Indigenous culture.

The Coffee World Museum is shaped on the foundation of building towards a museum of global coffee cultural heritage. The difference and uniqueness of the museum is that it is a LIVING - OPEN - INTERACTIVE museum about global coffee culture and a virtual museum introducing a collection of thousands of artifacts.

The attraction of the museum comes first from the external architectural form and then from the internal exhibition space. The architecture of the Coffee World Museum has done that. The building is a complex of freely curved blocks, connected to each other through "touch points" on the winding and flexible curves. The building blocks interfere with each other to create a quite special, unique and new architectural shape, as if simulating symbols of ancient people, seemingly encoded and blended into the space of heaven and earth of the highland.
