JAMAICA

Jamaica is an island country in the Caribbean Sea.Coffee was introduced to the island nation of Jamaica in the 18th century (1728), thanks to a diplomatic gift. After 9 years, Jamaica began exporting and opening up the coffee industry.In the years 1800-1840, more than 600 coffee plantations were established in Jamaica, making the island the largest coffee growing region in the world with an output of up to 70,000 tons per year. In 1953, Jamaica established the Coffee Industry Council, thanks to government intervention, Jamaican coffee has always achieved high value in the large coffee market. In particular, Blue Mountain coffee is grown on the mountain range, which is known as the highest roof of the Caribbean islands with an altitude of 2,256 meters. In this land, coffee is kept with traditional farming methods, hand-harvested and packed in wooden barrels like in the 18th century, contributing to perfecting the flavor of Jamaican coffee. Blue Mountain coffee is chosen as a drink served at the White House and is known as the favorite drink of the Queen of England. In 2019, it ranked only 45th among the world's leading coffee producing countries, but with its characteristic seductive aroma, Blue Mountain coffee always makes coffee lovers fall in love when enjoying it.
Coffee with rum is a popular dessert in Jamaica and is served after a meal, it is a famous variation of the classic Irish coffee. The coffee is topped with a layer of whipped cream, but decorated with a single coffee bean. Dark rum is often used because it is the main ingredient that makes the coffee special and authentically Jamaican. Jamaicans can also make coffee without rum, by combining natural flavors such as: water, raisins, butter, molasses, salt, black tea to create the flavor of rum.
