The Republic of Angola, is a country in Africa. In 1830, Robusta is the most popular crop grown on about 2000 plantations in Angola, mostly owned by Portuguese people. Coffee has contributed largely to the economy of the northwest region of Angola. However, due to wartime conflicts, the plantations were gradually abandoned. A number of policies and procedures have been implemented as a result of the government's recovery efforts, allowing Angola's coffee to gradually regain its growing pace. In 2019, the country was ranked 44th among the world's top coffee-producing countries.
The majority of Robusta coffees in Angola are naturally processed and sun-dried, for its natural, mellow yet sweet flavor and requires no mixing.
Few Angolans start their day with a cup of coffee because the product is still expensive locally. The cafes here mostly serve foreigners, tourists or locals, especially young people with conditions who are looking for new experiences.
