On the list, the U.S. is ranked 25th in the world for global coffee consumption, although the U.S. doesn't rank as high as Finland or Norway, but Americans love their coffee and they consume about 4.2 kilograms per capita per year. For Americans, coffee is not only a drink to drink, but also a way to socialize between friends, family and business meetings.
According to the NCA (National Coffee Association), about 64% of American adults drink coffee every day, which is the highest level since 2012. The average American drinks about 2.7 cups of coffee a day, and 79% of them drink coffee at home. Coffee consumption in the US has increased by about 5% since 2015, more and more people love drinks made from espresso in the United States, about 70% of the coffee consumed by young people is in the form of gourmet drinks, based on espresso, that is, drinking coffee on the go. In general, the preparation of coffee at home is declining although it is still popular. The type of coffee that Americans often prefer is Iced coffee – strong, hot coffee with added sugar poured into a glass of ice
