Celadon ware is glazed pottery with pale green jade color, also known as greenware.
An ancient ceramic jar of the Ly dynasty, around the XIII century, has a height of 19cm and a diameter of 17cm; cylindrical, yellowish celadon may be a variation of celadon ceramic. The characteristics of celadon ceramics are jade green and many variations of that hue. This discoloration occurs during the production of celadon ceramics; after glazing, the product must be fired in a reducing environment (an oxygen-deficient environment). The new ceramic will give a jade color, while the product will provide a brown or faded yellow like this ceramic jar in an oxygen-rich environment.
