An ancient ceramic bowl of the Ly dynasty, in the XIII century. The Ly Dynasty saw the emergence of white ceramics as a common yet extremely refined style of ceramics. They were made with high turntable art, large and small sizes could be seen in large ceramics, the thin ceramic layer shows a skilled level of shaping. The bowl usually had wide mouths, narrow bottoms; they came in a variety of sizes, some as big as melons and others similar to a monk's alms bowl. For this bowl, the mouth is slightly tipped inward and the exterior ceramic layer that was formerly white perhaps but has now aged to a light yellow color that seems clear, glossy and thin. Most white ceramics have no pattern at all, and their beauty is instead created by the shape and quality of the glaze.
