This is a Dallah kettle with a characteristic shape that is a "waist" in the middle. Each Dallah has a high spear-shaped cap and has a curved handle. The most prominent feature is a long crescent-shaped spout. This spout can be covered with a metal lid to keep the coffee warm, but traditionally it is opened to watch the coffee as it is poured out. This kettle was imported from the Middle East and it was used it commonly in Turkey in the 17th and 18th centuries to cook coffee.
